This is how I inadvertently “tested”  my PayPal colleagues during August 2015 when sending this email below to a group of trusted colleagues.  

From there, I learned who had a great sense of humor, who was too serious and who  just reads the first sentence in e-mails.

Original message:

‘Hi, everyone,

With great regret and after careful consideration I  have to tell you that I decided to part ways … with my  old car , a 9 year loyal friend named Elton John , that I adopted in early 2006 directly at the Rastatt Mercedes factory. Elton has seen me in many very embarrassing situations, from re-learning to drive through parenting my 3 very opinionated and unruly kids to shamelessly lying over the phone about reasons for being late. Finally the time came to grow up and move on.

Please, meet my new friend – still no name, so all name suggestions of all genders are warmly welcome!

P.S. The car was subsequently named Elvis.
