2021 Best Year Yet

I welcomed 2021 on Gran Canaria, escaping European lockdowns and making two important resolutions:

• I was committed to create 2 new experiences for myself each month during 2021. It would have to be an activity, a trip to a new place, new country, new sport, new hobby or something interactive, that creates excitement, novelty, and an atmosphere of discovery. New restaurants, new meals, new movies, new apps or new computer games do not count.
• I won't be limited or controlled by circumstances, viruses, contradictory travel restrictions, public sentiments or other external factors. In other words, instead of asking myself "what's not possible" or "what's not available", I will be asking more powerful questions "what can I do and how can I do it?" 

What Happened Next?

• I traveled to and lived for a few weeks in Costa Rica during February, Austria in March, Mexico in April, Spain in July, and France in October. This does not include short trips around Europe, for example, visiting friends in Luxembourg or Düsseldorf, Salzburg Opera Festival, Zurich Film Festival, Art Basel Show, and any other significant cultural event, museum or exhibition in the neighbourhood.
• I started playing golf, learning to shoot guns, practicing yoga, and taking NLP classes. 
• Tried and abandoned Clubhouse.
• Hosted a number of home parties for friends who shared the same positive sensible attitude to life, met incredible new people, made new friends, found great teachers and mentors. Kicked out a few people out of my life who did not fit anymore.
• Business-wise: I fired two clients paying me over 100,000 EUR each annually, and still doubled my company's consulting revenues and 5x-ed our digital sales revenues this year. This does not take into account bitcoin or other crypto prices increase.
• l let go of fear of "not being ready" and assumed responsibility for business growth in the B2B space (in addition to taking care of legal and compliance) for a project I co-founded with an amazing team.
• In summary, I lived this year exactly in a way how I'd love to spend the rest of my life, had more fun, spent more time with friends, and made more money than ever before. That's why 2021 has been the best year yet.
